TO BEE OR NOT TO BEE?

An apparent fascination for bees has been suggested as a disproof of a real world Shakespearian narrative. It has often been suggested that The Bard of Avon’s plays may not have been his own creations. Instead, it has been suggested that they were ghost written by his contemporary, Christopher Marlow. However, scholars point out that Shakespeare’s plays are replete with numerous informed references to the lives, loves and industry of the honeybee while Marlow’s, known work, contains absolutely none. Sounds conclusive?
