HELPING BEES TO LIVE LONG AND PROSPER?

Bees and Mushrooms. Paul Stammets is an expert on fungi so influencial with some that he got a character in the Star Trek universe named after him*. Given the cultural capital involved, this has to be a very rare honour indeed? Stammets is also a Beekeeper and concerned about the plight of bees in his native North America.

Interestingly, Stammets has combined his two passions and has isolated a substance that he calls MycoHoney, made by bees that sip fungal mycelium droplets. He claims that MycoHoney provides nutrients that are essential to bee health and is now researching how it might be best used as a bee health tonic.
